We've come across a problem with the Arp 2600v and after testing, we wanted to let you know the fix. The problem occurs when using the plugin with Logic 6 on Mac OSX. After installing the plugin, the first time you open it within Logic 6, it appears as a blank white page. You can access the controls view but when you try to switch back to the graphical view Logic posts a Core Audio error 'Code 1' -- No good!
There are two things to try and we suggest that you do them in this order.
-
As soon as you have opened the plug-in and the screen has come up blank (white), toggle between Logic and the Finder (Apple -- Tab) When you return to Logic the Plug-in should appear correctly.
If that doesn't resolve the problem, try this:
-
Locate the Emagic cache folder in Macintosh HD/Users/(User Name)/Library/Caches/Emagic.
-
Move this folder to the trash.
-
Delete the Arp2006v plugin files from the following folders: (there should be two files -- the main plug-in and the fx plug-in) They can be found in Macintosh HD/Library/Audio/Plug-ins/Components and Macintosh HD/Library/Audio/Plug-ins/VST
-
Reinstall the Plug-in from CD
-
Restart the computer
If the plug-in still comes up blank, try the first fix again (toggling programs)
This problem does not seem to occur with Logic 7, but almost everytime in Logic 6.
