Our Opinion:

For the roving producer the Liquid Channel is a great buy, if you're after a box that can cater for just about any vocalist, in any situation this is the only option worth considering. There's some really clever technology in here that gives you a huge variety of tones that will work with any voice from Rachel Sevens to Tina Turner ... Not all the emulations are as successful as others but for example you could put up two Vintage LA2A's and they'd both sound completely different to each other anyway. If you had a mix with the vocal tracked through the Liquid Channel and the other through a vintage Telefunken and 1176 I'd defy you to tell them apart. If you want to experiment with the subtleties of pre-amps & compressors this is a great box to own and a real education to use. Bottom line is that it would cost you more to hire the gear this unit emulates for a day than it would to buy the Liquid Channel!
