Alan Parker - Film & TV Composer
, Stormbreaker, BBC Coast, ITN's New at Ten
TV and film composer Alan Parker has written music for over 20 feature films including Jaws 3, What's Eating Gilbert Grape and American Gothic as well as over 75 TV features.
After the demise of his Euphonix CS2 desk, Alan called in Studiospec to redesigned and refit his 'Garage Studios' in Surrey. We designed a studio based around a large Pro Tools HD system which is now used as both Mixer and Recorder. In order to give him more hands-on control, a Digidesign/Focusrite Control 24 was the obvious replacement for his long serving console as the hub of operations. The rest of the studio is designed around 3 Apple G5 Power Macs Running Digital Performer and a host of Virtual Instruments including the Viena Symphonic Instruments.
Recent projects for Alan include BBC's acclaimed 'Coast' series and the film Stormbreaker.

Solo Artist, Survival, BBC Natural World, ... and a founding member of Genesis
TV Composer and Guitarist Anthony Phillips has now settled into his new Studio following a major refit. The room is based around two Mackie DXB digital desks and houses an impressive collection of outboard processors and synths. Both desks have UAD-1 cards and plug-ins installed and the automation features mean that he can now switch seamlessly between concurrent projects. We also installed a Muse Research Receptor which runs alongside his two Apple G5's to provide extra VST instruments.
We have recently added a number of items to his already impressive studio including the Vienna Symphonic Instrument collection, a Protools editing system, a Millennia NSEQ-2 Equaliser and a Tubetech SMC 2B Multiband Compressor. Studiospec continue to provide technical support for Anthony when required.

Chris Cozens - Composer / programmer /music editor
, Lord of the Rings, Casino Royale, Blood Diamond,
Chris has established an international reputation as one of the best programmers/music editors working in film and television soundtrack music production. He has acted as music editor/Auricle consultant and synth/computer programmer on more than 120 feature films from major Hollywood studios including Dreamworks, Warner Bros, Disney, Paramount, Universal, United Artists and HBO.
Having completed the final part of The Lord of the Rings Trilogy for Peter Jackson - Chris was one of the few to work on all three parts including the extended versions. Recent films include Amazing Grace with a score by David Arnold, The Lake House with a score by Rachel Portman and the forthcoming 'Infamous' which stars Daniel Craig - the new James Bond.
Work has recently been completed on his own state-of-the-art studio facility - CCG Studio. Studiospec have enjoyed a long and productive working relationship with Chris and have supplied him with both equipment and technical expertise for a number of years.

East Point Studios - Osea Island
East Point studios is one of our more unusual clients. Based on a private Island of the east coast of England, the studio is accessible for only a few hours per day by road but offers some simply breathtaking views across the estuary.
We supply both equipment and technical expertise to East Point. The studio is based around a Pro Tools HD system with a generous lashing of outboard and ADAM monitoring.
There's also a second system running Logic Audio along with a selection of virtual instruments and processing plug-ins.

There are not many records that Jeremy Wheatley hasn't been employed to work his mixing or production magic on. Jeremy's work has led him to grammy nominations, and many of the songs and albums he has worked on have been number one. His ongoing relationship with the Sugababes has led to four no.1 singles including the massive 'Push The Button' and a no. 1 album in 'Taller In More Ways'.
More recently Jeremy's production and mix duties were employed on the massive pan-european no. 1 single 'You're Beautiful' by James Blunt, as well as the eagerly anticipated new albums by Corinne Bailey Rae and Leann Rimes. He has also recently been working with Bon Jovi.

Tufty is one of the leading Sound & Mixing engineers (not to mention one of the silliest people!!) in the United Kingdom and has worked professionally for recording companys, artists and his work has ranged from top performers in the music industry through to up and coming singers and groups as well as commissions for specialist audio. Among his list of clients he has worked with recently are Beverley Knight, The Appletons, Mel C, Girls Aloud, Mark Owen Michelle Lawson.
Since the opening in 2003 of his Custom Built Studio 'Wispington Studios' in England he has gone from strength to strength.
Studiospec have recently upgraded Tufty to Pro Tools HD designing a MADI based IO system between the computer and the Euphonix allowing up to 24 inputs and 56 outputs.

Pete 'Boxsta' Martin - Producer / Songwriter / Programmer

By the time he relocated to London in 2001, Pete "Boxsta" Martin had written over 15 No 1's and countless top 10's becoming one of South Africa's most sort after multi- platinum selling producer/songwriters. Now working out of Matrix Studios in Fulham, Pete continues to work with new and established artists, lending his own unique production style. He has remixed the likes of Britney Spears, Mary J Blige, Puff Daddy and Bob Marley to name a few. He is a multi-faceted artist who not only writes and produces, but is also a virtuoso programmer, and a sought after mix engineer with productions and mixes on a variety of top selling artists such as Sugababes, Dannii Minogue, Shola Ama, Big Brovaz, The Brand New Heavies to name a few.
Studiospec specified, supplied and installed Pete's new studio and continue to provide support as and when required.

Samuel Sim - TV / Film Composer
BBC 'Dunkirk' / 'Awake',
Samuel Sim first gained recognition as one of Britain's finest young composers with his award winning score for the BBC drama series: 'Dunkirk'. Since then he has written the music for a wide variety of highly acclaimed film and television productions, most recently scoring the film 'Awake' for the Weinstein Co.
While working on the film, Samuel asked Studiospec to help with several technical aspects of the score, including the installation of a Mac Pro based workstation and surround sound system.

Steve has sold over 40 million records worldwide and worked with a variety of artists including Busted, Blue, Westlife, Take That and James Morrison, He has had numerous No1 hits in the USA with artists such as Carrie Underwood, Faith Hill, and Rascal Flatts. Recent hits include "Undiscovered" with James Morrison and the Massive hit "Shine" with Take That.
When building was completed, we installed and configured the studio for Steve and added more equipment including a 24 channel D-Command Console, Outboard by API, Chandler and Universal Audio as well as monitoring by ADAM and a fantastic old Rhodes.
